About Atelier
A calm place for thoughtful medicine
Atelier Medical Aesthetics was created to offer something different. A boutique, doctor-delivered practice where education comes before treatment, clinical judgement comes before trends, and patients are given the time and knowledge to make informed decisions with confidence.

Our approach
We are not interested in treating more. We are interested in treating better.
Aesthetic medicine can feel overwhelming. There are endless opinions, evolving technologies and treatments that are not always easy to compare. At Atelier, the process begins with a thoughtful conversation about what matters to you, what is clinically appropriate and whether treatment is needed at all.
Every consultation takes place in a calm, private environment where discretion is respected and appointments are intentionally unhurried. There is time to ask questions, understand your options and make considered decisions without pressure. Appointment scheduling is also designed to minimise waiting, because respecting your time is part of exceptional care.
Whether care is simple or complex, the approach remains the same: careful assessment, thoughtful planning and precision. Every recommendation is personalised, because subtle differences in anatomy, medical history and individual priorities can influence both safety and outcome.
The goal is never to perform more treatment than necessary. It is to identify the right approach for the individual, using evidence-supported techniques and clinical judgement refined through experience.

Considered recommendations
Sometimes the best recommendation is no treatment at all
Every product, technology and treatment offered at Atelier has been carefully selected for its safety, scientific evidence and clinical performance. Patients deserve considered recommendations and meticulous care, not decisions shaped by marketing or the pressure to pursue what is newest.
Sometimes the best recommendation is a treatment. Sometimes it is to wait. Sometimes it is no treatment at all.
Because aesthetic medicine is not simply about performing procedures. It is about making good decisions.
From our founder
My hope is that every patient who walks through our doors leaves feeling lighter than when they arrived.
Not because they have necessarily had treatment, but because they have been heard, educated and genuinely cared for. I want every patient to feel confident in the decision they have made, whether that is choosing treatment, deciding to wait or deciding not to proceed at all. That is what Atelier is: a calm place for thoughtful medicine, genuine relationships and good decisions. Dr Hollie Berghofer, Founder, Atelier Medical Aesthetics

Behind Atelier Medical Aesthetics is Dr Hollie Berghofer, a medical doctor with more than 15 years of clinical experience across a broad range of medical settings, including rural emergency medicine, obstetrics, procedural medicine and medical education. Her postgraduate aesthetic training includes advanced education in facial anatomy, ultrasound-guided procedures, advanced laser medicine and facial assessment, including ArtCodes training with internationally recognised educator Dr Tim Pearce. Her career has been built on patient safety, sound clinical judgement, clear communication and supporting patients through some of the most significant healthcare decisions of their lives.
Alongside clinical practice, Dr Hollie has spent more than a decade teaching, supervising and mentoring doctors in training. Education remains central to her approach and is reflected in every consultation at Atelier. She is committed to ongoing professional development and regularly undertakes advanced training with many of Australia's leading aesthetic clinicians, as well as internationally recognised experts, ensuring her patients benefit from contemporary, evidence-based care.
Dr Hollie's philosophy is grounded in evidence-based medicine, respect for individual anatomy and a conservative approach to treatment planning. She believes aesthetic medicine should never feel rushed or pressured, and that trust is earned through transparency, education and honest advice.
Treatment recommendations are made thoughtfully and only when Dr Hollie believes they are appropriate and within her scope of expertise. If another approach, further assessment or referral is in a patient's best interests, this will always be discussed openly.
With more than a decade of diagnostic ultrasound experience, Dr Hollie also incorporates advanced ultrasound assessment where appropriate to support treatment planning, precision and patient safety.
Not sure what is right for you?
You do not need to know which treatment you need before booking. A consultation is an opportunity to discuss your concerns, understand your options and receive personalised recommendations without pressure to proceed.
